Agni and the First Verse of Rik Veda. (Revised and elaborated.) Introduction : This is a word-by-word translation of the first verse of the Rik Veda . The meaning, etymology, and spiritual connotation of the sacred words of the verse are provided. During the narration, some weird connections observed between the Sanskrit word and English words are highlighted. A few additional Vedic-Sanskrit words related to agni and yaj~na have been illustrated in this article. All Sanskrit words that are written in italics fonts are available in the Sanskrit English Lexicon by Sir Monier Williams.
